Heat Pump Repair & Installation - St. Louis
Most people don’t think about an air conditioning unit when you mention heat pump. True, a heat pump does pull heat out of the air and ground and transfers it into a dwelling to heat the environment, but it also does the opposite. In the summer months, a heat pump transfers the heat in your home with the cool temperatures found in the ground to cool dwelling. Because it’s transferring instead of burning fuel to create heat or cool air, it is extremely efficient. Heat pumps are good for the environment because you’re not burning fuel and good for your pocket book because you don’t have to pay for the fuel that gets burned.
While those savings are wonderful, the biggest advantage of having a heat pump is that you only need to install one unit to accomplish two tasks.
Central Air does not recommend a heat pump to everyone. Heat pumps offer the most significant energy savings where natural gas is not available as a fuel and where winter temperatures are mild.
